WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Joe Gardner (Foxx) is a middle-school music teacher who aspires to fulfil his dream of becoming a jazz pianist. However, just when he is about to get his big break, his soul is separated from his body and transported to the Great Before, a place where souls acquire their personalities before heading down to Earth. Joe is paired with a young soul named 22 (Fey), who does not see the appeal of life on Earth, and it is up to Joe to show her what it means to live…
