WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Four separate stories are told throughout the film, all set within the seedy Basin City – Dwight McCarthy (Brolin) is approached by former lover Ava Lord (Green) to protect her from her abusive husband (Csokas) whilst remaining unaware of Ava’s true sinister motives; social outcast Marv (Rourke) regains consciousness outside of the city and seeks the answers to how he got there; a cocky young gambler named Johnny (Gordon-Levitt) goes after the corrupt Senator Roark (Boothe) but finds himself going down a darker path; and former stripper Nancy Callahan (Alba) copes with the death of her guardian John Hartigan (Willis) while plotting to kill Roark herself…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Almost a decade after Robert Rodriguez set a milestone in digital cinema with his adaptation of Frank Miller’s series of Sin City graphic novels, he’s back with a long-mooted follow-up that promises to be bloodier and darker than anything before it.
