WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
In the year 2045, the world is on the brink of chaos and collapse. However, most of humanity has found solace in the OASIS, a virtual reality universe created by the reclusive genius James Halliday (Rylance). When Halliday suddenly dies, it is revealed that he will leave his vast fortune as well as ownership of the entire OASIS to the first person who can find a hidden Easter egg that he has hidden within the expansive game, which sparks a worldwide contest. One such player, teenager Wade Watts (Sheridan), decides to join the contest and sets out on a vast treasure hunt through a mystical landscape that nobody could have ever imagined…
