WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
Government operative Amanda Waller (Davis) assembles a group of imprisoned supervillains to form a taskforce designed to stomp out criminal activity across the globe. Among the recruits, led by Rick Flag (Kinnaman), are Harley Quinn (Robbie), mercenary Bloodsport (Elba), psychotic killer Peacemaker (Cena), and an anthropomorphic fish-human hybrid known as King Shark (Stallone). They and numerous other villains are sent to the South American island of Corto Maltese to overthrow a ruthless dictator and destroy a Nazi-era prison that conducted mysterious experiments on its inhabitants…

James Gunn, on loan from Marvel thanks to his (brief) firing, brings a much-needed jolt of energy and consistency to a DC property in dire need of a fresh reboot, and has assembled a fine cast of anti-heroes to outshine one another to often darkly hilarious effect.
