WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the early 20th century, Kirsty Macleod (Corfield) lives an isolated life in a small, quiet village in the Scottish Highlands. She dreams of leaving the village behind with her lover Murdo (Fletcher) and making a new life in America, but when the Great War breaks out, Murdo is conscripted to join the British Army.
