WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

After his wife passes away, professional chef Cheng (Hong) and his young son Niu Niu (Hsuan) move from Shanghai to a remote village in Finland, where he plans to meet an old friend from the area. Although nobody seems to know his friend upon arrival, local café owner Sirkka (Tuokko) provides him accommodation and, in return, he helps out in her kitchen by introducing Chinese cuisine to the locals, which make him a revered figure among them…
