WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the Manhattan neighbourhood of Washington Heights, bodega owner Usnavi (Ramos) has dreams of saving up for a better life in his native Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, Usnavi’s childhood friend Nina (Grace) returns home with surprising news for her parents, who have sacrificed their life savings so that their daughter can build her own future. Eventually, both Usnavi and Nina, along with the rest of their neighbours and friends, discover the true meaning of home over a summer of fortunes and fantasies…
