WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
Youri (Bathily) is a young teen living alone in the rundown Parisian estate of Gagarine, which was named after famed Soviet astronaut Yuri Gagarin, whom Youri is also named after. When the estate is evacuated and primed for demolition, only Youri remains in an attempt to stop the home he loves from being destroyed…
IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?
This incredibly sweet blend of magical realism and hard-knuckle drama makes for effective viewing, not least because it contains the most likeable stranded spaceman (of sorts) since The Martian.
