WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Guy (Reynolds) is a mild-mannered bank teller who, unbeknownst to him, is actually a NPC – non-player character – in an open-world video game called Free City. When two game programmers, Milly (Comer) and Keys (Keery), insert a new program into the game at the behest of arrogant publisher Antoine (Waititi), Guy suddenly becomes aware of his video game surroundings, and takes steps to become the hero he’s always wanted to be – but he has to do it quick, as his world is threatened by a complete shutdown from the game’s developers…
