Brian (Earl), a lonely inventor living in a remote Welsh town, decides to build himself a robot companion. Using an old washing machine and various spare parts, he creates “Charles”, an artificially intelligent robot with an unusual fascination for cabbages, who helps Brian overcome some of his social anxieties…
