WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Lee Gates (Clooney) is the host of popular financial TV show Money Monster, where he gives stock advice live on-air, with behind-the-scenes support from his producer Patty (Roberts). During one taping, Lee is suddenly held hostage by a gun-wielding viewer, Kyle Budwell (O’Connell), who claims to have lost all his money after following Lee’s advice. He is forced to investigate the fraudulent activity while wearing a bomb vest, and as new information comes to light it turns out that Kyle may have been legitimately wronged and that there may be a much bigger conspiracy going on in Wall Street…
