WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Simon (Eisenberg) is a young man with little confidence who’s constantly ignored by work colleagues, scorned by his mother (Somerville) and rejected by the woman of his dreams Hannah (Wasikowska). However, the arrival of new co-worker James (also Eisenberg) – who so happens to be the physical doppelgänger of Simon but also his exact opposite personality with charm, charisma and confidence with women – threatens his very existence, especially when it seems James is starting to take over his life…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Taking inspiration from Dostoyevsky’s story of the same name, filmmaker Richard Ayoade moves into darker but more fascinating realms of comedy with this tragic tale of opposites.
