WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
In 1918, a young American boy named Prescott (Sweet) grows up in France where he witnesses the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, shortly after the end of the First World War. The historical event, as well as his troubled relationship with his mother (Bejo) and father (Cunningham), shape his beliefs and produces a terrifying ego that continues to grow as he becomes older, when he becomes the leader of a fascist government…
