WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

James (Mooney) is a grown man who has spent all of his life living in an underground bunker with his parents (Hamill and Adams), and is obsessed with a children’s educational programme following the adventures of a character named Brigsby Bear. One day, police arrive and arrest the people he thought were his parents, and he not only learns that he was kidnapped as a baby, but that they also created Brigsby Bear to keep him hidden away. Now faced with living life as a normal person, James’ obsession with the fictional show cannot be contained, and he sets out to make his own movie to complete the series once and for all…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

This delightfully original and heartfelt ode to filmmaking and following your ideas comes to us from Saturday Night Live veteran Kyle Mooney, who if you’ve seen his skits on the program then you’ll know what kind of odd but strangely sweet adventure you’re in for.
