Relying heavily on his wit, spirit and limited supplies, Watney tries desperately to send a signal back to Earth to let them know he is still alive, while his crew plots a daring rescue mission to bring him home…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Based on the best-selling sci-fi book, The Martian not only features heavy talent in front of and behind the camera – Matt Damon stars, Ridley Scott directs – but also sets the stakes high for a moving and incredibly inspiring tale of survival on one of the most hostile environments in the solar system.
