WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Jeff Bauman (Gyllenhaal) is an underachieving Boston resident who, whilst supporting his girlfriend Erin (Maslany) at the Boston Marathon in 2013, is caught in the terrorist explosion and loses both of his legs in the process. As he finds himself overwhelmed with newfound media attention due to his survival, Jeff struggles to cope with his new life as a disabled man and in the process threatens his relationship with those closest to him…
