WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson) has developed a special bond with George (Liles), an intelligent and gentle albino gorilla that has been in captivity most of its life. However, a mysterious genetic experiment causes George to mutate into a raging creature of enormous size, and to make matters worse it is discovered that a wolf – Ralph – and a crocodile – Lizzie – have also gone under similar changes. As the newly enhanced monsters battle each other for supremacy, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams up with discredited genetic engineer Dr. Kate Caldwell (Harris) to find an antidote that will not only prevent a global catastrophe, but also save the fearsome beast that was once his friend…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The popular arcade game about giant monsters going around destroying things is morphed into the latest thrilling Dwayne Johnson action vehicle, which given the megastar’s undying charisma should propel it into a category of unreserved fun.
