WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Millionaire hedge fund manager James King (Ferrell) is arrested for multiple counts of fraud and given a lengthy prison sentence. When he is also given 30 days to get his affairs in order, he decides to try and toughen up before he goes behind bars. He turns to Darnell Lewis (Hart) to help him adjust to prison life, which he attempts to do for his boss – thing is, Darnell is only a small-time businessman and not, as King assumes, an ex-con…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Get Hard is an interesting pre-prison movie idea backed by humerous performances by Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart – though hopefully it won’t fully rely on the obvious (and unfortunate) racial stereotyping gags.
