WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Inside an average smartphone is the world of Textopolis, where emojis of all kinds live and work to be chosen by the phone’s user. One such emoji, Gene (Miller), struggles with his many emotions despite being a “meh” emoji, and after one too many mishaps involving his lack of filter he sets out to become “normal” like his fellow emojis. This leads him on a grand adventure through the smartphone with his best friend Hi-5 (Corden) and codebreaker emoji Jailbreak (Faris), to find the code that will make Gene normal once and for all…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Judging by the severe online backlash to this film, it’s clear that not many of you are actually looking forward to this… but even so, give it a chance because it could either be a pleasant surprise or it could be a glorious trainwreck of epically cynical proportions.
