WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
Elio Perlman (Chalamet) is a precocious 17-year-old American-Italian boy who, whilst staying at his highly cultured family’s villa in northern Italy during the summer of 1983, strikes up a friendship with Oliver (Hammer), an American scholar who arrives to complete his doctorate under the tutelage of Elio’s professor father (Stuhlbarg).
