WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
Aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani) meets Emily (Kazan) after one of his sets, and they soon start dating. However, the expectations of Kumail’s traditional Muslim family soon drive a stake into their budding relationship, which is made even more uncertain when Emily contracts a mysterious illness and put into a medically-induced coma. Kumail must now navigate the medical crisis with Emily parents, Terry (Romano) and Beth (Hunter), as well as try and find a way to balance both his family and his heart…
